What we're doing
Antioch Fullerton will be taking a church-wide trip to Tijuana, Mexico, to partner with our sister church (All People’s Church Tijuana) to see God’s kingdom come in Mexico.
Why we're doing it
This has historically been a transformative trip where we see the book of Acts coming alive around us - filled with the power of the Holy Sprit, fun fellowship, the sick being healed, the deaf hearing, the blind seeing, and the lost being saved. This trip is open to all ages, as we believe this is a powerful few days of discipleship not only for adults, but for families and kids to get outside their context and see the power of God first hand.
What to expect
We will be staying and ministering in a safe area of Tijuana, near the border of the US and Tijuana, partnering with our sister church there who has safely hosted thousands of people over the last 8 years. Our mornings will be filled with powerful times of worship, the word, and ministry, and we will have a separate ministry space for our kids as well. In the afternoons, we will partner with them to both serve practical needs, as well as do outreach where we will share Jesus, pray for the sick, and see God show up powerfully.
We will have more details to come soon, but we hope to depart Thursday morning and return Sunday afternoon after holding a worship service in Tijuana that morning.

We are aware that this trip is a financial sacrifice. We have historically seen God provide in incredible, faith building ways for people to come on the trip. We encourage those that are stirred to be on the trip but aren’t sure about finances to register, let us know where you’re at, and consider inviting in others by inviting in your Lifegroup and/or sending out support letters.

Our trip will be focused in Playas de Tijuana, which is next to the US border and is one of the safest places in all of Tijuana. Historically, violence and gang activity has happened between midnight and 5 AM in the city center, which is after we will be in bed and away from where we will be. We will have trained security people at night at the hotel and traveling with us. Lastly, we are working with trained people who have successfully hosted hundreds of teams in the past.

Yes, in fact we encourage families to take their kids as part of the spiritual formation journey for families and kids. Here are some things to expect for kids:
Kids will be with families except for the morning kids sessions. Every morning during the worship and teaching time, kids will have a time of worship, curriculum, and activities with our trained kids volunteers.
Kids Ministry - We will have kids ministry during our morning sessions together
Outreach - We will have evangelistic materials for kids, including stickers and simple ways to share faith with other kids

We encourage families to bring pack and plays for kids to nap in. We will be able to accommodate transportation for some naps, but will not be able to for every nap. We will allow families some flexibility if they feel like they need to pull back from an activity, etc.
